Prepare For Your Visit
Applying only to acupuncture/integrative medicine visits:
This appointment will be different than a "normal" visit to the veterinarian! Our goals are:

To move at a slower pace

Keep your pet as calm as possible

Gather an extensive amount of information
-
And then do an acupuncture treatment.
In order to do all of this and make it a positive experience for you and your pet, please read the following guidelines.
Please, do not feed any BIG meals for 1-2 hours before the appointmment. Your pet should not be hungry either.
Your pet should be well-rested and not physically exhausted.
If your pet is on oral prednisone, please do not give this medication on the day of the appointment.
Since our goal is to have a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, consider having only one family member come to the first appointment with your pet.We will be talking a lot about your pet's history and background and then doing an acupuncture treatment.
Once we know how your pet responds to the acupuncture, and once your pet knows what will happen and is comfortable with it, then more of the family can come to the following treatment!
