Margaret Mathson, C.V.T.
Margaret Mathson is the head Technician at VESH.
She started her
career in veterinary medicine in 1985 at a small, single-doctor practice in Billerica,
Massachusetts. She left the field in 1990
and spent several years in the luxury hotel business, working in Boston,
MA, Northern Virginia,
and Cleveland, OH.
Margaret returned to veterinary medicine on a full-time basis in 1994, when
she worked at a large fourteen-doctor mixed practice. She returned to Massachusetts
in 1997 to work at the ER/ICU at Tufts
Universitys Foster
Small Animal Hospital.
In 1999, Margaret moved to the seacoast area and worked at a specialty
practice. She joined VESH in April, 2006. Margaret shares her life with her
German Shepherd, Reilly. Together they volunteer with a wilderness
search-and-rescue team. Margaret has also adopted several kitties over the
years. Currently, Ashley, Timothy, and Liam allow Margaret and Reilly to care
for them in their shared home.

Lee Curtis
Lee Curtis is
a Technician Supervisor and an ICU/ER Technician at VESH.
Originally from
central Maine, Lee moved to New
Hampshire in 2003 to attend the University
of New Hampshire in Durham,
where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine in 2009.
She started work as a technician in emergency medicine in 2004 and joined the
VESH team in May of 2006. She is currently in the process of achieving her
life-long dream to become a veterinarian. She hopes to begin veterinary
school in the fall of 2010. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her
lovable beagle mix Shyla, reading at home with her
three spoiled cats, and relaxing by the lake at her family camp in Maine.

Jasmine Parman, L.V.T.
Jasmine Parman is an I.C.U. Technician at VESH.
She graduated from
University College
in Bangor, ME
with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been working
professionally in veterinary medicine for five years. Although originally
from Maine, Jasmine has had the
pleasure of working of working in Maui, HI
for a few months as a technician, and now she has settled in New
Hampshire. After working in the General Practice
field for four years, she began her career in Emergency Medicine in 2005. At
home she cares for two beloved kitties, Ivan and George, and in her spare
time she likes to read and hike.

Joy Smith,
C.V.T.
Joy Smith is
an ICU Technician and the Grounds Manager at VESH.
Joy served for 20
years in the United States Air Force, and upon retiring from that decided to
become a veterinary technician. She attended the Long Medical Institute in Phoenix,
AZ as a Veterinary Assistant and
graduated in 1998. She has worked extensively in the veterinary field in many
different capacities, including humane society work, large and small animals.
She became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2005. Joy is a member of the
NH Veterinary Technician Association. At home, she cares for one dog and four
cats, and in her spare time she enjoys golf and fishing.

Lindsay Knowlton
Lindsey Knowlton is an ICU/ Surgery
technician at VESH.
Lindsay attended the
Thompson School of Applied Science at the University of New Hampshire. She
graduated in 2002 with her Associate’s degree in Animal Science with a focus
on Equine Management. She continued on to receive her Bachelors of Science
degree at the University of New Hampshire with her focus on Pre-Veterinary
medicine in May 2009. She has been employed at VESH since October 2007, and
has recent experience as an equine technician at New England Equine Medical
and Surgical Center. Lindsay’s love
for animals began at an early age of 7, and her dreams and aspirations of
becoming a veterinarian have become more of a reality today. She is currently
working on her applications to veterinary school, in which she hopes to enter
within the next year or two. She shares her home with her hedgehog Chester,
and boyfriend Joey, and hopes to expand their family with dogs in the near
future!
